1. 过分 (guòfèn) – excessive, undue, over-

  1. 你对这件事的担心有些过分了,情况并没有那么糟糕。

    Nǐ duì zhè jiàn shì de dānxīn yǒuxiē guòfènle, qíngkuàng bìng méiyǒu nàme zāogāo.

    Your worry about this matter is a bit excessive; the situation is not that bad.

    担心 dānxīn – to worry

    糟糕 zāogāo – terrible


  1. 父母的过分溺爱,可能会让孩子变得任性。

    Fùmǔ de guòfèn nì’ài, kěnéng huì ràng háizi biànde rènxìng.

    Excessive pampering by parents may make children become self-willed.

    溺爱 nì’ài – to spoil

    任性 rènxìng – self-willed


2. 强调 (qiángdiào) – to emphasize

  1. 老师在课堂上反复强调,作业一定要按时完成。

    Lǎoshī zài kètáng shàng fǎnfù qiángdiào, zuòyè yīdìng yào ànshí wánchéng.

    The teacher repeatedly emphasized in class that homework must be completed on time.

    反复 fǎnfù – repeatedly

    按时 ànshí – on time


  1. 会议上,他强调了团队合作的重要性。

    Huìyì shàng, tā qiángdiàole tuánduì hézuò de zhòngyàoxìng.

    At the meeting, he emphasized the importance of teamwork.

3. 作文 (zuòwén) – composition

  1. 老师给我们布置了一篇以“我的梦想”为主题的作文。

    Lǎoshī gěi wǒmen bùzhìle yī piān yǐ “wǒ de mèngxiǎng” wéi zhǔtí de zuòwén.

    The teacher assigned us a composition with the theme “My Dream.”

    布置 bùzhì – to assign

    梦想 mèngxiǎng – dream

    主题 zhǔtí – theme


  1. 他写的作文感情真挚,内容也很丰富。

    Tā xiě de zuòwén gǎnqíng zhēnzhì, nèiróng yě hěn fēngfù.

    The composition he wrote has sincere feelings and is also rich in content.

    感情 gǎnqíng – feeling

    真挚 zhēnzhì – sincere

    丰富 fēngfù – rich


4. 观点 (guāndiǎn) – opinion

  1. 你对这个问题的观点是什么?我很想听听你的看法。

    Nǐ duì zhège wèntí de guāndiǎn shì shénme? Wǒ hěn xiǎng tīng tīng nǐ de kànfǎ.

    What is your opinion on this issue? I really want to hear your views.

    看法 kànfǎ – view, opinion


  1. 我们虽然立场不同,但都应该尊重彼此的观点。

    Wǒmen suīrán lìchǎng bùtóng, dàn dōu yīnggāi zūnzhòng bǐcǐ de guāndiǎn.

    Although we have different positions, we should all respect each other’s opinions.
